Influence of cropyear, N fertilization and genotype on the variability of some agronomic and chemical properties of Burley tobacco (Nicotiana tabacum L.)
2002
Gondola, I.
The objective of the present study was to describe the year-to-year variation in yield, quality, ripening rate, ratio of leaf green weight to cured weight and some selected chemical components of Hungarian Burley tobacco grown in various nitrogen fertilization treatments. Special respect was paid to yield and alkaloid content. The experiments were conducted during three years on light textured brown forest soil with high acidity, medium to low in organic matter and high in readily soluble P and K content using two Burley cultivars.
