Investment coconut agroindustry in North Sulawesi (Indonesia)

The aim of this research was to study the effect of investment factors of coconut industry in North Sulawesi. This research used secondary data (1986-1996) from Bank Indonesia Manado, Regional Office of Industry and Trade Manado, Provincial Office of Estate Crops, Bureau of Statistical Centre, North Sulawesi. The variables that measured i.e. the investment of coconut industry, Income Domestic Regional Bruto (IDRB), saving, bank interest and export price. The IDRB affected the investment of coconut industry. The price gave the biggest effect followed by saving, and the interest gave the smallest effect. The conclusion of this research was the investment of coconut industry can increase the IDRB, so it can increase the income and saving, too
