[Getting the transgenic rice resistant to pest insects by particle bombardment]

The transgenic rice was brought about by firing the characteristics of pest insects, which were shown by Bt or CPTI genes, into the rice's mature embryo genes with the particle bombardment method. The Bt or CPTI genes were correctly inserted to its genome DNA and the bioassay showed that the transgenic plants were resistant to the rice stem borers
