The gene resistant to rice bacterial blight disease, Xa-21, isolated from the wild rice species (Oryza longistaminata) was introduced into the prominent rice varieties by agrobacterium infection. We cut a fragment from E. coli plasmid which was cloning this gene and inserted the basic vector PCAMBIA 1305, got a plant expression vector PKSLW-Xa 21. Also, we introduced this gene to different rice varieties by agrobacterium infection and got plants containing target gene by PCR. In this process, several factors affecting on introduction of external gene in rice by this method were detected and the appropriate conditions were found
