Data on 8948 performance records of Sahiwal cows kept at Livestock Experiment Station Jahangirabad, Khanewal (Pakistan) were used in the present investigation. The heritability was estimated by using Restricted Maximum Likelihood. (REML) procedure fitting Individual Animal Model. The heritability estimates by univariate analysis was 0.037 plus minus 0.026 for age at first calving, 0.030 plus minus 0.025 for first calving interval, 0.042 plus minus 0.032 for first service period and 0.030 plus minus 0.024 for service per conception. The heritability estimates considering all lactations (repeatability model) were 0.044 plus minus 0.019, 0.034 plus minus 0.019 and 0.032 plus minus 0.028 for these traits, respectively.
