Riverbed stabilization in the case of cutting off the sediment transport by the Dobczyce dam

In the paper the rived bed erosion downstream of a dam is studied on the example of the Dobczyce on the Raba River (Poland) with catchment of 1537.1 sq. m. The riverbed degradation of that reach of Raba River had been for 100 years, but after the Dobczyce Dam construction in year 1986 the process was accelerated. The authors present a computational method for degradation evaluation with a special attention for sediment sorting. Computational results are compared to the sequence of low flows in Dobczyce gauging section, the accordance is satisfactory
