Effect of fertilization and inert media on the yield of greenhouse tomato Recento F1
2002
Chohura, P. | Komosa, A. (Wroclaw Agricultural University (Poland). Dept. of Horticulture)
The yielding of greenhouse tomato Recento F1 essentially depended on the root medium and the year of studies, and not on the fertilization level. In spite of the fact that the effect of fertilization was not statistically proven, the highest average yield was found in plants fertilized by the nutrient solution with a higher content of elements. On this level, the best yielding was obtained in plants grown in rockwool, lower in expended clay and the lowest in polyurethane foam. From two fertilization levels, the mean total yield of fruits was essentially higher in plants grown in rockwool than in expanded clay and polyurethane foam, however in expanded clay it was significantly higher than in polyurethane foam
