Curculionoidea fauna of alfalfa crops in Rzeszow Foothils

17 730 individual of Curculionoidea from two families were collected as a result of six-year-long studies carried out on five plantations of alfalfa grown for green forage in Rzeszow Foothills. In the collected entomological material 28 species were identified. Among them Sitona humeralis was the most numerous, it accounted for 65.7 percent of all Curculionoidea. Other relatively numerous species were also Hypera postica (8.8 percent) and Apion tenue (5.5 percent)
