Effect of culture methods on the yield and quality of cucumber cv. Polan F1

It was found that the culture methods applied had a significant effect on an early and marketable yield of cucumber cv. Polen F1. The best yield was obtained when plants were covered with perforated film, which allowed to achieve much higher mean soil temperature than in case of uncovered plants. The culture methods had also a significant effect on the content of saccharose, vitamin C and nitrates in fresh cucumbers
