The subject paper were results of meteorological measurements from 16 places in the Lublin district, (Poland). On the basis of material from the years 1951-90 the occurrence of vegetation frosts was analysed. The following were determined: mean and extreme dates of frosts, mean and shortest time o no-frost period. Frequency of the occurrence of frost, winter days on the vegetation period. It was found out that the examined period the greatest danger of frosts occurred in the south-eastern (Zamosc, Krasnystaw) and north-eastern (Siedlce, Terespol) parts of the Lublin district. The last dangerous were south-western parts (Sandomierz, Pulawy) of the region
