Effect of sowing density on the yields of hulled and hulless oats
2002
Tobiasz-Salach, R. | Bobrecka-Jamro, D. (Rzeszow University (Poland). Dept. of Economics, Chair of Plant Production)
The two factor field trails were established during 1995-97 using the random plot with sub-plots method. It was noted that sowing density led to increased lodging of plants as well as increased number of panicles per square m. The number of ears per panicle, as well as the number and mass of grains per panicle decreased. The optimum sowing density for the species and families tested was 634 stands per square m for Bajka, 547 stands per square m for Slawnko and 617 stands per square m for STH 2694
