Variation of the content of total protein, P, K, Ca and Mg in ecotypes of timothy grass (Phleum pratense L.)

The studies conducted in the years 1989-91 examined the content of total protein, phosphorus, potassium, calcium and magnesium in the ecotypes of timothy grass accumulated at Elizowka near Lublin (Poland). Statistically significant differentiation of content of these elements was found out. The highest variability coefficient of phosphorus in plants, while the lowest of potassium and calcium. Besides, significant inter-correlations between the content of total protein, phosphorus and potassium were observed
