Influence of medium and size of twin scales on propagation of Hippeastrum x hybriudum in vitro

Twin scales of Hippeastrum x hybridum were cultured in vitro on MS medium containing NAA 0.01 mg/cu.dm and BA 1.0 mg/cu.dm. Better results were obtained with liquid medium than that solidified with agar. When different size of twin scales of Hippeastrum x hybridum were cultured in vitro on MS liquid medium, the highest number of new bulbs were formed on the biggest twin scales
