Properties of soils developed from bog iron ore near Legnica city

The research of wet meadow soils were done near Wierzbowa village in the Chocianow Municipal, about 35 km west of Legnica city. The soils contained in surface horizons: 3.2-11.7 percent Corg., 3.8-5.4 percent P2O5 and 30.9-44.5 percent Fe2O3. In the under-surface Box horizons there was: 1.6-3.6 percent Corg., 3.7-4.6 percent P2O5 and 45.8-54.5 percent Fe2O3. The lower located gley horizons contained only 0.1-0.3 percent Corg., 0.1-0.4 percent Fe2O3 and trace amounts of phosphorus
