The content of total protein depended mainly on the level of nitrogen fertilization, harvesting time and the year of cultivation. Applied nitrogen fertilization resulted in the decrease in water-soluble sugars content, though potassium had a positive influence on the sugar concentration. The content of crude fibre and organic matter digestibility depended maily on the harvesting time and the year of rescue grass cultivation, but to a smaller extent on the level of nitrogen and potassium fertilization
