2000
Treder, J. (Instytut Sadownictwa i Kwiaciarstwa, Skierniewice (Poland))
The aim of the experiment was to evaluate how different levels of nitrogen, potassium and magnesium during the treatment affect plant growth and flowering of three oriental lily varieties, grown in greenhouse in summer and autumn trial. The results showed that fertilization did not affect significantly number of days to flowering of all cultivars except 'Casa Blanca' in autumn trial whereas plant height increased with fertilization. The lenght of first buds of all varieties increased significantly with fertilization level. Analysis of mineral nutrient content of leaves at flowering showed that 'Casa Blanca' and lower potassium and higher calcium and magnesium levels than 'Olympic Star' and 'Star Gazer'
