Distribution of iron compounds in lessives soils of the Siedlce upland

The aim of the study was to determine the content and distribution of different compounds of iron in genetic horizons of lessives soils. The content of soluble iron in 20 percent HCl (FeHCl) as well as Fed and Feo extractable forms changed with depth and corresponded with the clay fractions distribution in the profiles. The Fed, Feo content was the highest in illuvial horizons and parent rock and it was lowest in the luvic horizons
