Flowering potted and bedding plants have become a great business in temperate climate in the past 10-15 years. Good market, reduced labour input due to mechanization and automatic, high shipment cost, elimination of fertilizer effluent to the environment are the main keys to this success. The problems concering quality of potting media, watering fertilization, growth control, kepping quality and internet trade of flowering plants are discussed
