The works aims at development of a complex evaluation of the technique and technology for preparation of the short-stalk green fodder with the use of mathematical simulation model, enabling to determine the material-energy and economic inputs as well as exploitation indices obtained under real conditions. As the criterion indices there were assumed: fuel consumption, labour consumption and total costs related to a dry matter mass unit. The developed mathematical model covers various technologies of silage preparation, including modern storing methods, with consideration to differrent environmental conditions of foder harvesting. An experimental logical verification of this model was carried out, proving its correctness
