The main scope of the research was to estimate rainfall and runoff erosivity factor for climatic conditions of south-western Poland. The analysis was made on the base of 1966-00 rainfall intensity data from Wroclaw Swojec gauging station localized in the Lower Silesia region. Calculated average for years 1966-00 rainfall and runoff erosivity factor R for Wroclaw Swojec was equal to 63.7 MJ/ha.cm/h and was smaller then in case of the gauging stations with similar annual precipitation totals localized in central and eastern Poland. That was explained by the difference in climate conditions between western part of Poland influenced by marine climate and eastern part dominated by continental climate. Annual values of R factor varied from 18.7 MJ/ha.cm/h to 169.8 MJ/ha.cm/h. The most hazard from the view of rainfall erosivity were summer months June-August
