The aim of the study was to evaluate the environment of selected cowhouses for dairy cows in terms of mycology as well as to estimate the toxicity of dominating fungi species. In the environment of the rooms under study fungi of genus Aspergillus and Penicillium were isolated in various amounts. Moreover, fungi of genera Mucor and Alternaria were detected. In the samples of air and dust as well as fodder and bedding material fungi of genus Trichoderma, Fusarium and Cladosporium were found in small amounts
