Comparison of the microfloras present in the aquatic environment, fish and fish feeds

During the grow-out phase of cage-rearing of the Coregonus fry, the microflora occurring in the habitat was qualitatively and quantitatively compared with that present in the fish and their feeds. The fry were kept in illuminated cages placed in Lake Leginskie. Qualitative assays for heterotropic bacteria cultured on standard agar media at 20 and 37 deg C, coliforms, proteolytic and ammonifying bacteria, bacteria of the genera Pseudomonas, Aeromonas, Staphylococcus, Bacillus, Clostridium, as well as fungi were performed
