Elapsed eleven-yearly development of Slovak grain market in the Slovak Republic was manifested by strong instability of annual supply volumes and total grain usage. This development was caused not only by natural effects on production, but also by regulation effects of the country. Effort of the State Fund for Market Regulation of the SR in agriculture related to price stabilisation and quantity proportionality of supply and demand was not always effective, namely because of insufficient means on market regulation, but also because of ambiguous objectiveness of the decisions, which tried to connect some contrary objectives. Analysis of problems showed a need to change present system of the state regulation of Slovak grain market
