The process is studied of forming the level of seed productivity and quality, which vary according to the false mildew resistance of the varieties depending on growing conditions and methods. The research is aimed at improving the methods of creating high-yielding soybean varieties resistant to false mildew based on assessing the occurence and development of the disease in northern Forest-Steppe of Ukraine. Disease-resistant breeding forms are isolated; the inheritance of resistance in the hybrids and the influence of the durability of the growth period and the thickness of the cuticle on forming the traits are found out. The possibility is proved to reduce the soybean affection in the first links of seed production while carrying out a complex of technology measures, such as sowing in the optimum dates (first decade of May); wide rows (0.45 cm interrows) with a sowing rate of 550-600 thousand of germinating seeds per hectare with the rotation in a crop rotation not often than once per 4 years and to keep the fields free of weeds. Recommendations are developed which ensure the increase in effectiveness of the breeding work with soybean while creating new high-yielding false mildew-resistant varieties that provides increase in the crop yield by 0.3-0.4 tonnes per hectare. The false mildew-resistant samples were subject to production trials in a number of the UAAS institutions as follows: the Bukovyna Institute, Breeding and Genetic Institute and Institute of Agriculture. The high-yielding false mildew resistant numbers are further involved in the hybridization while carrying out the breeding work
