Effect of inoculation and manure on mass and nitrogen content of soybean plant

In this paper, there were studied the effects of mineral fertilizer application and inoculation on dry matter mass and nitrogen content of soybean plants. We used three strains of Bradyrhizobium japonicum (8K, 46, and 2/1) from the NSCNFB collection of strains registered with the World Microorganism Collection in Japan in 1995 and the soybean cultivar Ravnica developed at the Institute of Field and Vegetable Crops in Novi Sad, Serbia (Yugoslavia). A trial was established on a chernozem soil at Rimski Sancevi, Serbia (Yugoslavia). In the no-inoculation treatments, the largest masses of the above-ground plant parts and the whole plant were obtained with the highest fertilizer rate (treatment 6), whereas in the treatments with inoculation the largest values were obtained with 70 kg N/ha (treatment 5).
