Mediana and Lucia interspecies cultivars grapes and wines quality at the Kutina vine growing area [Serbia, Yugoslavia]

Over the period from 1995 to 1999, quality of the Mediana and Lucia interspecies cultivars grapes and wines at the Kutina vine growing area, Serbia (Yugoslavia) was studied. The investigations have shown that, based upon the accomplished content of sugar and acids, these cultivars can successfully be grown at the Kutina vine growing area under the conditions of decreased use of agents intended for protection against the fungus diseases. Mediana is a full and harmonious wine characterized by a finely matched alcohol and acids being also of very pleasant wine aroma and based upon its properties fits the category of quality wines, while Lucia, by virtue of its features, fits a good table wine.
