The aim and significance of this paper is to investigate the correlation between the body mass and some other body measures in the domestic Balkan goat breed that is reared in the northwestern part of Sar Planina massif (Yugoslavia). The investigation was conducted on four herds (total 298 goats) of the Balkan goat breed during one year. Herds were distributed in various localities and at various altitudes. A statistical analysis was done using a PC and the least square procedure (Harvey, 1990). Positive correlation, statisticallly very significant (P0.01), was obtained by analyzing the correlation between the body mass and other body measures in the goats investigated.
