Analysis of state and directions development of briquetting biomass

In this paper are given the review of former experiences in the work with installations for briquetting of biomass. It was found that the biomass briquettes might retain its shape if the press realizes high pressure of 150 to 200 bars and increased temperature of 90 to 95 deg C. The optimal moisture content for pressing of chopped material is 14 to 18%. It was found that the price of briquettes amounts of 60 to 75 EURO/t material. In this paper, it was pointed that the briquettes of biomass were very convenient biofuel and cattle feed for the market. Energetic briquettes are ecologically cleaner as a fuel than domestic (Yugoslav) coal.
