The studies were carried out as 6 male lambs of each breed were slaughtered at 45, 90 and 180 days of age. The content of total lipids, triglycerides, fatty acides, and free fatty acids in them was studied. The results obtained showed low content of triglycerids and relative high levels of free fatty acids for animals at 45 and 90 days of age. Breed differences in these characteristics were weakly expressed. The changes in these characteristics were considerably better expressed with the change in age and live weight.
