[Preliminary results on initiation of in vitro culture of released apple rootstocks]

First stage of clonal micropropagation of released in Belarus Malus rootstocks MM-106, 54-118, 62-396, PB-4 has been studied. Different explant types were used for culture introduction. They are: terminal and axillary buds, apical meristem, green and woody cuttings, which were screened on different dates. The study of explant development on different media for initiation showed that several variants of media on the basis of MS, 1/2 MS, WPM with various content of biologically active substances provided sufficient number of normally developed regenerants for further cultivating
