The new swiss apple cultivar Mairac results from a cross Gala x Maigold. The fruit is bicoloured, firm and juicy, with an excellent sugar/acidity balance. It has been praised in many consumer tests. The tree shows good field capabilities, with medium growth vigour, balanced vegetation, good disease resistance and sustained fruit set. Mairac has a good yielding potential.
