Domestic [Serbia (Serbia&Montenegro)] production of apricot dried

Some study results of domestic (Serbian) agricot combine drying technology was showed in this paper. Mass and energy balance of apricot drying was evaluated. Apricot varieties as Novosadska Rodna, Amrozija, and Keckemetska Ruza were analyzed. The mass balance approved that 100 kg of fresh fruit can yield into approximately 20 kg od dried halves and smaller peaces for mixed bars. In order to produce one kilo of dried apricot about 21.000 kJ of energy is necessary. So, it was suggested by authors that renewable energy sources as suitable for such kind of drying. In that case the existence of dried apricot is possible in Serbia.
