[The effect of various mechanical methods of chopping dry peppermint on the quality of plant raw material]

In the frame of this thesis examination the existing mechanical methods of chopping leaves of medicinal plants for establish the quality of raw materials of plants, was conducted. The comparative experiment of chopping of dry peppermint using crusher, grinder, cutter and hand separate the leaves from the stalks of plants has been presented. It was suggested the quality of chopped leaves could be evaluated in regard to the favourable separation the leaves and stalks of the plants, achieved chopping leaves, reduction the content of essential oil in the leaves and change colour of the leaves and showed during the index of the total grade exert influence one of methods on the quality of chopped raw materials of plants.
