Introduction of imidazolinone-tolerant sunflower (Clearfield] is a revolutionary advancement in sunflower production. Clearfield* production system for sunflower provides unique possibility of post-emergence broadleaf weed control in sunflower with possible chemical control of broomrape. Additional advantages of this weed control method include a more flexible time frame for herbicide application and the suppression of growth of some perennial weeds.
