Determination of heavy metals origin in the soil according to micro - site indicator values method

Contents of Cd, Pb, Cr and Ni were determinated in the soils, under spruce and Scotch pine cover on the Mt Goc, by applying the method of micro-site indicator values. These researches were determinated origin of heavy metals in these soils. Soil samples were taken according to the micro-site indicator values method, and samples were prepared according to the UNEP - UN/ECE (1994) rules. The contents of the total Cd, Pb, Cr and Ni in studied soils analysed were determined by AAS method using the "Varian - AA - 10" apparatus. Measured concentrations, on micro and macro- site were compared with critical concentrations for the organic layer and for mineral soil. The origin was evaluated on the compared concentrations of heavy metals on micro- and macro- site, and their distribution in soil profile.
