The present study shows the production process and the practical application of D-STOP which is the first biological insecticide registrated in Serbia and Montenegro. It is based on spores and crystals, as active ingredients, of our own bacterial isolate Bacillus thuringiensis subsp. kurstaki. The given data show the results of the multi-year investigations conducted in order to determine the biological efficiency of our ecological product in the eradication of gypsy moth caterpillars in the city, suburban and forest areas on the territory of the Republic of Serbia.
