The application of geographic information systems in registering non-forestry greenery

The work describes the possibility of applying a geographic information system (GIS) in making records of non-forest greenery and analyzing its effects on the environment. The possible content of the GIS is considered along a survey of potential data sources such as the existing charts, maps, aerophotogrametric or satelite images and geodetic survey on the terrain. The possibility is pointed out of querying of the database containing the collected data on the basis of which is obtained a graphical presentation of the requested data.
