Technology of the seedling production in greenhouses

The seedlings are young plants with 4-10 good developed leaves, and with 4-5 past organogenese phases of the generative organs. The roots is good developed, the stem is elastic and fastened with high dry matter content, and in the appropriate age for different vegetable varieties. During 2000 and 2002 on the Faculty of Agriculture in Novi Sad, Serbia&Montenegro, there was research about the influence of the different substrates on the quality of the tomato seedlings in controlled conditions. The obtained results point out that in 2000 the best substrat was compost + lubri-humus 1:1, and in 2002 the best substrat was the one from the Klasmann Deilmann Company.
