Twelve bottles of Traminer wine of the same batch and from the same manufacturer were used in order to determine the concentrations of total polyphenols (TPC) and resveratrol (RC). TPC were measured spectrophotometrically using Folin-Ciocalteau's reagent at 765 nm, RC were determined by HPLC. TPC ranged from 257.7 to 282.5 mg/L (272.6 mg/L in average), RC ranged from 0.05 to 0.08 mg/L (0.06 mg/L in average). As shown by our results, even in the samples with the same maturation conditions, bottling and storage, TPC and RC were affected by the bottle. The differences between some of the bottles were statistically significant.
