English. An evaluation on quantitative and qualitative characters of rose cut flower (Rosa hybrida L.) was carried out at Cipanas Ornamental Research Station from September 1993 to August 1994. Randomized Block Design was used with three 3 replications. The treatments were eight new clones of C.91001-7, C.91001-15, C.91001-102, C.91012-5, C.91012-10, C.91023-1, C.91038-1 and C.91040-2, and Cherry Brandy as control. The results showed that clones number C.91001-7, C.91012-5, C.91023-1 and C.91040-2 were promising for further development. They showed distinctive color and have quantitative characters similar to Cherry Brandy, except flower numbers of C.91040-2 was higher than Cherry Brandy

Evaluasi karakter-karakter kuantitatif dan kualitatif beberapa klon bunga mawar potong telah dilaksanakan di Inlithi Cipanas, yang berlangsung dari bulan September 1993 sampai Agustus 1994. Rancangan percobaan menggunakan Rancangan Acak Kelompok dengan tiga ulangan. Perlakuan percobaan delapan klon baru, yaitu C.91001-7, C.91001-15, C.91001-102, C.91012-5, C.91012-10, C.91023-1, C.91038-1 dan C.91040-2 untuk dibandingkan dengan kultivar Cherry Brandy. Hasil percobaan menunjukkan bahwa C.91001-7, C.91012-5, C.91023-1 dan C.91040-2 mempunyai potensi untuk dikembangkan lebih lanjut. Klon-klon tersebut mempunyai warna yang berbeda dan sifat-sifat kuantitatif yang menyamai Cherry Brandy, kecuali jumlah bunga C.91040-2 lebih tinggi dari Cherry Brandy
