Nellore breed of sheep are widely distributed in the entire state of Andhra Pradesh. This is the country's tallest breed of sheep having three strains namely Jodpi, Palla and Brown. However, information on comparative performance of these strains is very scanty. Hence and attempt is made in the present study to compare the growth of Jodpi and Palla strains maintained in an organised farm.
