Gingival capillary hemangioma in a calf

Hemangioma is a benign tumour of endothelial cells which line blood vessels. This tumour is usuallly classified as cavernous or capillary, depending on the size of the vascular spaces. Vascular tumours of oral cavity are rare in domestic animals. This report describes a case of gingival capillary hemangioma in a Holstein calf. The clinical presentation and pathological characteristics are detailed.
