Productivity is not only be influenced by production parameters but reproductive factors also affect the total lifetime yields. For example, if an animal yields more calf crops in its life span, it will automatically produce more yoelds than the animal having less number of calf crop. These reproductive parameters can be defined in terms of index and this index can be called as intrauterine development index (IUDI). This index is the probable measure of pre-natal growth rate during gestation period. As it influences a lot of economic traits, it can be used as an aid for selection of animals.
