The climatic conditions in a region are highly variable and ever changing process. These variations are highly related to human habit and its activities. Forecasting on maximum temperature during summer and minimum temperature during winter with a reasonable degree of accuracy are of prophylactic value to the public. Box-Jenkins method is applied to identify the model. The accuracy of the model is justified by AlC. The model suggests that the combination of two filtering techniques viz., adaptive filter and Kalman filter predicts extreme temperatures with highest efficiency.
