Physical factors that influence the growth and spread of Drechslera maydis nisikado race 'o' causing maydis leaf blight of maize in India

In vitro studies showed that the mycelial growth and conidial germination of the pathogen Drechslera maydis Nisikado race 'O' were nfluenced by temperature, the optimum being 33øC. Relative humidity did nt have impact on mycelial growth and conidial germination. The siuation was true on the disease incidence recorded in the field.SMV
