The objectives of this study were 1) to explore the genetic relationship and levels of genetic variability among the native clover taxa using both morpho-agronomical characters and randomly amplified polymorphic DNA (RAPD) markers, 2) to assess the forage potential including herbage yield and quality, 3) to examine the biological nitrogen fixing potentiality of the species.
