Identification of microorganisms isolated from pig organism and their use for creation of polyvalent vaccine "Salmopastas K"

In 1979-2001 in farms and poultry farms of 36 districts 10205 samples were taken from which a number of bacteria strains were isolated: Salmonella - 31, E.coli - 54, Streptococcus pneumoniae - 12, Bordetella bronchiseptica - 6, Haemophylus parasuis - 2 and Pasteurella multocida - 4. The isolated bacteria were examined for biochemical, antigenic, pathogenic and immunogenic properties. The typified bacteria strains are stored at the bank of microorganisms of the Department of Bacteriology and Parasitology, Lithuanian Institute of Veterinary.
