A comparative evaluation of different methods for the quality assessment of boar sperm

Investigations on the use of different methods for the quality assessment of boar sperm are summarized in this paper. Seventeen boars were used in the research. Their sperm quality was evaluated by applying traditional methods as well as by sperm chromatin structure assay and fertility potential of the sperm in vitro by accounting the obtained embryos. The authors have come to a conclusion that the most precise method of the assessment of boar sperm is fertility potential of the sperm in vivo.
