Response of french bean (Phaseolus vulgaris L.) to nitrogen levels
2003
Bhurer, K.P.(Regional Agricultural Research Station, Parwanipur (Nepal))
A field experiment was conducted during winter season of 2001-2002 at RARS, Parwanipur, to study the response of nitrogen on yield and yield attributes of French bean (Phaseolus vulgaris L.). Seed yield increased significantly with increasing level of N up to 120 kg N per hectare. Significant differences in plant height, number of pods/plant, seed yield/plant and test weight were recorded at each increasing level of N. Agronomic Efficiency of Nitrogen was found maximum with 60 kg N per hectare.
