The identities of bacteriocinogenic lactic acid bacteria isolated from Philippine fermented rice and fish mixture and fermented rice cake were found to be Pediococcos acidilactici and Enterococcus faecium, respectively, through 16S rRNA gene sequencing and homology search from the NCBI [National Center for Biotechnology Information] database using the BLAST [Basic Local Alignment Search Tool] program. The spectra of antimicrobial activity of pH-neutralized, cell-free culture broth of the bacteriocinogenic isolates were also elucidated
